 okay hey blog

it's been a minute. i've been having a freakin awesome time in life so i completely forgot abt u losers.

so my last few weeks in chicago were unfortunately amazing cuz now i kinda love it there but it'll be there when i get back.

i got to go to italy with my family for like a week and a half and it was so lovely. i haven't traveled with them in a few years and it felt so nice going back and having it be my choice. it was truly restful and restorative and i love my family so much.

so now i'm home. my beautiful santa barbara. even tho i've been longing for it for so long, it somehow still feels even better than i could have imagined to be back. the weather is perfect. i love my home.

a LOT has already happened in the weekish that i've been back so i wanted to do a day by day play by play 4 u. so here it is!

WEDNESDAY 6/11

i landed in sb, got my affairs in order, then me n em went to the foothills to watch the sunset in celebration of my lovely alexandre's bday!! everyone associated w her is so goated so it was a really nice vibe meeting some new ppl and getting to immediately be outside again. then we went back to her place for chai n more hanging out and it was actually perfect. there r some ppl i met that i rlly hope i see again. and i was able to stay up late enough to rlly battle jetlag thx to the chai so that rocks.

THURSDAY 6/12

me n em got up n had some coffee w my fam. then we went to chad's for a lil brekky cuz i saw that kiri n ben were both working. it was so nice to see them both on my first day back. they seem to always be busy af so i'm glad i got to see them for even a second cuz idk how much i'll get to see them this summer. i hope there's time tho. then me n em went on a lil shopping spree. emmy didn't have a bathing suit so we went to old navy and tilly's and she pieced together the cutest suit ever in the world. she's a true beauty queen. then we packed up all our shit and went to the beach. the weather was perfect, the water was warm, it was truly like. The best day. then we went on a beach walk and our back got stolen womp womp womp woooooomp. i ended up losing my phone, car keys, bong, digital camera, watch, sunglasses, and my camera case w all my camcorder cords. but thank god i had my cam corder on me cuz truly all that shit was busted anyway. it was only drama cuz i didn't like that someone potentially had my keys and i had to leave my car overnight. also my parents tracked my phone and bushwacked by the traintracks into a crack den that was full of random stolen shit and ppl w crack pipes. one girl gave them a different phone and said she had my bong n stuff but in the end they just left cuz it got scary. so yeah aaa opened my car so we could get em's phone n wallet n we went home and smoked some glorious weed n turned in.

FRIDAY 6/13

we got crushcakes w em's dad then got picked up by my dad to figure out the new car key situation. we went all the way to goleta to the toyota dealership to get my key code (whatever tf that means) but they couldn't give it to us without the car registration so we had to go back. the car already had to get towed to the locksmith so we waited n had him open the door so i could get the registration then BACK to goleta, got the code, went to the locksmith, and the code wasn't working. the key wouldn't work and they couldn't figure out what to do so they said they'd have to keep it over the weekend. i was bummed as fuck cuz we had camping that night and were unsure what our car situation was plus we had to still go get a tent. so dad dropped us off and then like an hour later the lockmisth calls and... HUZZAH they figured it out. so we got the car, went to REI for a tent, grocery store for snacks n beer, the dispo duh, to my parents for sleeping bags n a cooler, then booked it up into the mountains. it was so fucking beautiful and the vibe was amazing. later in the night ben kreitzer pulled up which is. insane. and the vibe turned veeeery chronically online white man pretty quick but i was so in my element up there it truly did not get to me at all. me n em just did our own thing. we had a beautiful cross w a lil microdose action and just explored the mountain. the stars were amazing. it was a perfect night. and to end it all off i did my first ever cowboy camping under the stars. the weather was perf and it was a beautiful experience. thank u alexandre for being born so we could have such a beautiful celebration for u.

SATURDAY 6/14

woke up at sunrise in the mountains and the view was indescribable. i love it up there in the morning cuz you can see the clouds blanketing the whole city, but the weather above it all is perfect. when me n em came back to camp, alexandre was up too. emmy went back to bed and i stayed up w her. we watched more sunset and she made a huuuuge amount of chai that she heated up on the camping stove for me. we just sat n chatted n then i drew a portrait of her as my bday present. i'm a lil out of practice artistically but i think she rlly liked it. a lil later we packed up n went down the mountain and went right to the no kings protest. we stayed for a long ass time and ended up turning it into an unplanned march that took over the street. there were so many people there supporting it and i didn't see any counterprotesters that were brave enough to come near (apparently there were some cowards on the beach pretending to counter) me n em marched w angie, alexandre, evan, and this girl liv that i had just met camping. we got lunch after which was sweet but i was so fucking tired. then goleta for my awesome haircut, where i was fighting to not fall asleep in the chair. then when we got home at 6pm i immediately fell asleep for 14 hours.

SUNDAY 6/15

father's daaaaaaay. we woke up and went to caje to make cards for our pops. then went to uu then crushcakes w em's dad which was super lovely. then we had yet another glorious beach day in almost the same spot where we got stolen from #idgaf. it's a perfect spot to sit right after the tourists but before the fisherman. kind of a fun no man's land of our own. we had some beer n smoked some ganj and ate a watermelon. another best day ever. then we went to my parent's house n had some more beer lol and a LOVELY homecooked dinner. once again i love my family. it was a super good day.

TODAY 6/16

i woke up n had coffee at home w mom. then did a lil stretch n sauna sesh w malia which was super relaxing. i also ordered my new phone and it has a home button hehe. it's coming in like 8 days so i still get to be phone free a lil longer. i love phoneless life. now i'm back w em and she's abt to whip up some late breakfast while i do a lil laundry and we'll see where the day takes us :)
